Introduction

I have been a professional clown for more than twenty years and I have loved every minute of it. I perform magic tricks, juggling tricks, balloon animals and I even have a fire act for grown up parties. I'm also the best and most affordable clown in the Portland Metro Area. I also offer a discount to non-profit organizations and I offer transferable gift certificates which can be given as a present and used anytime within available time slots. Juggles and More is proud to introduce the latest character in my long list of amazing characters. I am now the Balloon Twisting Santa Claus and I can't wait to start performing at Christmas Parties and other Holiday Events.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Juggles and More supports non-profit organizations and even offers discounts of up to forty percent off normal pricing. Our pricing is not only competitive, we offer the best rates around and willing to work with those with very tight budgets. Our policy is that every child deserves an entertaining birthday party no matter how much money their parents have.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
The biggest concern is getting it right. I need to know what the party theme is, how many kids to expect, the ages of the kids and exactly what the host has in mind for entertainment. I love to perform magic tricks for younger kids but for older kids, they seem to be more impressed with my juggling tricks and fire performance.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have been training and preparing for YOUR party for more than twenty years. I didn't go to Clown College, but I thrived at learning everything I needed to know on my own and I stand by my experience.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I lived in Mississippi for about a year and my cousin, who lived near us, had a neighbor who was a professional clown, ran her own business and needed help one day for a store opening event. I told her that I'd love to help out so she brought me over, put clown make-up on me, got me all dressed up and off we went. That first experience led me to believe that this was my calling. To entertain kids and adults alike and I loved it so much, I continued clowning around even after moving back to the Great Northwest.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I can work with just about anyone. I'm very open and friendly. Give me a call and find out for yourself.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One of the most recent events that stand out in my mind is when I performed at a family reunion near central Oregon. I was paid for traveling there, which took more than three hours, plus my performance itself. There were many kids present along with lots of adults. I started out with some really cool magic tricks, some jokes and some awesome juggling, then moved on to balloon animals for a couple of hours. When the sun went down and the sky grew darker, I began my fire performance, which was amazing and captivated the whole audience. The best part, I believe, is that I had the opportunity to bring my youngest daughter along who documented my performance. I love to take advantage of any time I'm able to spend time with my kids one on one.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Clowns are a wonderful bunch of folks but I like to think I stand out because of my experience with several different non-profit groups that specialize with children. I have lots of patience dealing with all kinds of children from a wide variety of backgrounds. I take pride in my ability to rise above your average clown in town.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Customers should ask about personal experience with dealing with children because not everyone is cut out for handling surprise situations, like heckling from kids, and let's face it, kids can be quite surprising at times.
