Introduction

Playing together since 2003, Kevin & David have put together an acoustic mixture of oldies and new songs, with influences from folk, country, R&B, and rock. We have tight, smooth harmonies and an easy, acoustic sound. We play small-to-medium size venues, including restaurants/pubs, wedding receptions, birthday and other parties, fundraisers, and outdoor venues. We enjoy having fun with our listeners, often inviting them to come up and sing with us... and many have received the eye patches we award to 'honorary Pirates' at various venues. We play an occasional original, but mostly we like watching the looks of recognition and seeing & hearing people singing along to familiar favorites. Email us for booking info!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
For private parties we charge 200 dollars an hour with a 2 hour minimum charge. Call for corporate and business rates. These vary depending on how many bookings and or days are required. Travel over one hour from our home base in Columbia SC will require an additional fee to the base cost. All fees are discussed up front and agreed upon before booking is final. Cancellation within 30 days of the booking will result in a charge of the base rate excluding travel expenses.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We like to know what kinds of music that you and your guests like. We can tailor a setlist to suit. We also let you know that we get patrons involved by setting up an extra microphone so that everyone can get involved. We love to have the crowd sing along with us!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
David and Kevin have been playing together and honing their skills for 18 years. David sang during his time at Wofford College and has directed chorus and choir groups. Kevin has also performed in choral groups and choirs. We began playing shows over 3 years ago and have consider ourselves fortunate to have found success doing what we love to do. We currently play 3 to 5 shows every week.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
About 17 years ago we started playing together mostly on Sunday afternoon for fun. 3 years ago we were playing and singing in a music store testing out some new equipment. People started asking where we played and what the name of the band was. Everyone encouraged us to start to play in public. So we tested the waters at open mic nights and got hired at every one we played at. Now we consider ourselves so very lucky to be able to perform at over 150 shows per year at corporate, business and private parties.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We have worked with all types of customers. This includes bar and restaurant owners, Corporations and private individuals. We also worked and performed for the South Carolina State Fair in 2018 and are contracted for October 2019. We create unique setlists for most of our shows based on what is requested that we play. We take requests and do them if we know them but we are also know to do things that we have never done. The main goal is to have fun and to have fun with our fans and patrons!
