Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Half price for first responders, active military and veterans. Thank you for your service!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Very simply to find out exactly what you need and want and do that! I have a repertoire of over 1600 songs in all styles and eras, so I can usually do whatever a client needs. If they have special requests or want a specific program, I'll work that up for them too. I'm always available if a customer has a question or wants to discuss any details.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
40 years professional experience, 15 years performing on a Caribbean Cruise ship. Also experience as an Event Producer, which means I have an eye to the entire event. I make sure I am one part of the event you never have to worry about. I have literally thousands of live performances under my belt and great familiarity with my sound equipment. I have performed outdoors and indoors, small groups and stadiums, for all different types of people in the US, Latin America and the Caribbean. I recently moved from California to Nashville.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started playing guitar when I was 6 years old. My first stage performance was at age 11 and I’ve been singing, playing and performing ever since. I started playing coffee shops during college and from there started doing weddings, parties, clubs and other similar venues. Then I became music director on a Caribbean Cruise Ship and developed larger shows and tremendously extended my repertoire.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Weddings, parties, memorials, dinners, business mixers, conventions, outdoor BBQs, and anything else you can think of. I've played at seniors facilities, country clubs, hospitals, command performances for royalty and everyone in between. I've performed for 3 people at a coffee shop and 60,000 in a football stadium. I just moved from the San Francisco Area to Nashville and I'm looking forward to working with YOU!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
My latest show was a private party for a small group that wanted a pre-Halloween party. My partner and I did a “Sonny and Cher” Tribute combining S&C hits along with Halloween faves such as “Monster Mash”.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
As we know, living in "Music City" you have a LOT of very talented people to choose from! Everyone is going to be a great player. What you need to look for then is reliability, responsibility and someone you can get along with that is going to deliver exactly what you want. It is my goal to be a part of your event you NEVER have to worry about!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Try to get a good idea of what you are asking the entertainer to do. If you have specific song requests have them ready. Know the size of the space and number of people so the entertainer can judge what sound system to bring. And please, be generous. Live performers have had a rough go of it the past couple years!
