What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

The fee depends upon the length of the engagement, the number of musicians I hire to accompany me (if any), my travel and lodging expense (if it is more than minimal) and the nature of the function itself.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I want to learn about you. I'd love to know who your guests are and what you think they'd like to hear. We talk about the venue and the mood you wish to create for your guests. I answer your questions about me, my performance background and the musicians who may accompany me.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I'm self-taught and have performed on television, the stage and in clubs for many years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

How does anyone get started in music? The love of it and a desire to share it.

What types of customers have you worked with?

People, just people, who love music and performance and want to have a good old-fashioned time with melodies and smiles.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

The New Old-Timers, my duo of voice/guitar and pedal steel, playing classic country, new original Americana and some jazzy numbers, too.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask questions until you are satisfied this performer is right for you.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

When looking for a perfomer: what will I and my guests enjoy listening to? What ambience do I want to create for my guests and do the performers help me achieve this?
