Introduction

I am a singer/songwriter that performs a variety of styles and genres from Americana, Roots-Rock, Country, and Originals. My set up is vocals, acoustic guitar, harmonicas, and a unique foot-drum, so I am basically a one-man-band. I am available for restaurants/clubs, festivals/conventions, private parties/corporate events, and weddings/receptions. I also have a female vocalist who joins me for events that have requested more variety. I have been performing live music since the mid 1980's and would love the opportunity to play some music for your event.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our fees start at $250 for solo and $350 for duo. Depending on the individual request, fees will either be lower, or higher based on several factors such as travel time and duration of service.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Once we have agreed to work together and I am marked as booked here on the site, we continue our conversations through email and text messages to iron out all the details of the performance such as set up/tear down times, contracts (if needed), song requests, etc.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been in and around the live music business for over 30 years. I have performed as a solo artist, a duo and in several full bands in Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia and Florida.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started playing guitar and writing music at the age of 16, following in my older cousin's footsteps. He was my mentor as well as my surrogate older brother.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We have performed at weddings, local bars, outdoor festivals, conventions, private parties and restaurants/wine bars.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Choose the musician who best fits the style of music you are looking for and don't try to make them change their style to fit your needs. There are plenty of musicians out there who will fit in perfectly with your situation.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Size of audience, size of stage area, indoor or outdoor, if outdoor, will they be able to provide cover, style of music they are looking for, proximity of power source for amplifiers and PA's, parking and ease of unloading and loading equipment.
