I try to keep my rates affordable for the customer while still allowing me to run my business efficiently.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First class I work on technical basics and establishing a common vocabulary for the different parts of the guitar. This sets the stage for good communication.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a bachelors and masters in classical music.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

My oldest brother is also a guitar teacher. I have several family members who are also professional musicians. I grew up around people making a living doing what they loved and seek to do the same.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have had students of all ages, and all skill levels ranging from raw beginners to professional musicians looking for help to sharpen their playing.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Hiring a teacher with a classical background is always a good idea. A teacher with a classical background has worked hard to reach proficiency and has logged countless hours of practice. This experience is indispensable as teacher when identifying and solving problems that students may have.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I always recommend that students ask themselves how much time weekly they are able to practice. Once they decide on an amount then we can really make good progress.
