As a local musician in the Northern Virginia area I think there is no better way to get better than by performing and passing my skills on to the next musician! Formally trained in classical, jazz, pop, rock and funk genres, I look forward to playing at your event, working with you to hone your sound, or training your technique, musical literacy, and performance skills on the saxophone and piano.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Sustained and consistent practice is the best way to improve at your instrument - I offer discounts for committing to work together on a long-term basis. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions on long-term commitment discounts.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I set up an initial session as a goal-setting exercise to gauge the level of the student's ability and and then look to find times for recurring weekly lessons that work with our schedules.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have formal training in playing the saxophone and piano in both a solo and group performance setting. In addition to performances, I have experience as a recording musician and playing in various groups and acts in Austin, TX and Washington, DC.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I find it fulfilling to pass along my musical knowledge to current and future students.

I teach students ranging from k-12 students and adults, as part of group after-school programs and private lessons.
