My pricing is competitive, and flexible when possible.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I consult via Thumbtack, email, text, phone calls. I am a versatile musician who will work with customer to customize set list for the particular performance, including learning new songs.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been playing guitar and writing songs for 40 years. I am a prolific songwriter, continually writing new songs and learning new cover songs. I perform multiple times per week, usually 1-3 hour sets. I perform in various situations, venues and music environments. This includes wineries, restaurants, pubs, bars, music clubs, private parties, corporate events, health care/senior centers, and weddings.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

My love of music and performing!

I work with from wineries, restaurants, pubs, bars, music clubs, private parties, corporate events, health care/senior centers, and weddings.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

1. A private 3 hour Christmas Party, where I learned numerous Christmas songs, as well as other favorite customer songs from various artists. I brought in a drummer, and everyone had a blast! They hired me again on the spot for their NEXT Christmas party. 2. I performed a “serenade” for guy who wanted a romantic surprise for his girlfriend. He hired me to show up at a restaurant and play 2 songs of his choice for his girlfriend. She loved it! He did too! It was fun for me, and she was blown away by the performance and how authentically I played the songs, which were two of her favorites.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask the musician for music samples of songs you want played at your event.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Can the musician perform the type of music you are looking for? Can they learn new songs if requested? Will the musician show flexibility and cater their set list to your preferences? Does the musician have the ability to adapt to different styles as needed for the event. Just because a musician doesn’t typically play certain songs or styles of music doesn’t mean they cannot do a great job performing those. A great quality musician can and will. I am one of those!
