Introduction

I am a professional pianist and vocalist who has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Tacoma Dome, the Space Needle, and throughout England. I specialize in decade hits (30s-70s with some modern standards), jazz and jazz standards, Broadway, Disney, and holiday favorites and perform with piano and voice all over Seattle and surrounding communities. *Please note that while I have a portable keyboard I do not provide a sound system or microphone.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing is hourly. I require a $125 deposit for a 2-hour performance. Deposits are refundable up to 48 hours prior to the event. The remaining balance is due the day of the event. Weddings have different pricing. Please inquire. *I have a portable keyboard but do not provide a PA system or microphone.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Meeting in person or remotely to discuss the customer’s expectations and specific requests.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
My area of study was Music Education and Vocal Performance at Iowa State University, and I had the distinct privilege of studying opera with operatic success Simon Estes. After college, I was hand selected to sing in a choral collection directed by Almeda Berkey at Carnegie Hall in New York City. I attend semi-annual music educator seminars to stay relevant in my field.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have been singing for as long as I can remember. It started as a hobby in church and grew into a full-time opportunity over the course of many years.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
As a teacher of piano and voice, I’ve worked for a number of years with a large range of personalities and ages. Having performed all over Seattle since 2015, I’ve met so many wonderful people.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
For the past three years I’ve performed at the Tacoma Holiday Food and Gift Festival at the Tacoma Dome. In 2022 and 2023 I was the sole performer. I play holiday music for 18+ hours over 4 days!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
There are many talented musicians in Seattle who perform for a living. I recommend hiring a full-time musician, who you feel understands what you're looking for for your event.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
-What types of music do you want to hear at your event? -How early do you arrive before the event starts? -What equipment do you need on site? -Do you take requests from attendees?
