For weddings, I charge by packages and ensure that clients know exactly what they are paying for.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

After the initial inquiry, I can set up a phone call to discuss details if necessary. I'll follow that up with an email summarizing everything we had discussed.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am classically trained and used to be a vocalist and piano teacher. I have a MBA so that means I am well versed in the aspect of good business and customer relation skills.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Honestly I saw this pianist play at Nordstroms when I was about 7 years old. My Mom would shop, and I would just sit there and watch him play. He'll never know how much of an impact he's had on my life.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I've worked with Grammy award winning and nominated producers, wedding planners, engaged couples, grieving families, charity event planners, friends and family.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I performed near Napa, CA for a couple's cocktail hour with a local acoustic guitarist. We sang cover songs by Colbie Caillat, Norah Jones and Adele. It was a beautiful venue and I had so much fun!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be as detailed as possible!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Clients should think about their overall vision and what kind of vibe they want the music to add. Other side things to note: sound system availability, time frame expected, indoor-outdoor venue and potential timing for sound check.
