I offer individualized lessons on pedal harp, lever harp and piano for ages six to adult. I focus on starting where the student is and where s/he wants to be, and design a course of lessons based on the student's goals. I also offer harp and keyboard or piano music for special events including weddings, showers, teas, religious services, holiday and retirement parties and retirement communities. These services are at an hourly rate. I offer discounts for package purchases. I love sharing the sound of the harp and piano with others, and especially enjoy helping others learn to play. I can also provide other musicians including violin, flute and cello for your special event. For weddings, I offer a variety of packages including discounted prices for ceremony plus reception. I can also offer additional instruments including violin, cello and flute. I offer a complimentary first lesson for students to get acquainted, try out the instruments, and see if their goals and my style is a fit. I also offer a discounted lesson price for packages of 10 lessons paid in advance.

I have a classical and jazz background but play nearly every kind of music. I'm a founding member of Wally & The Beaves (an oldies variety show) and CJQ (fusion and jazz quartet). I am also the musical director for Danny Vernon and The DeVille's (Elvis tribute artist, and I am the musical director) and perform Chris Anderson, Joey Jewell, The Billy Shew Band and The Soul Proprietors. I have performed with such artists as Arturo Sandoval, Stanley Turrentine, Ramsey Lewis, Louis Bellson, Ellis Marsalis, Keiko Matsui, Lee Oskar (War), The Drifters, and Don Wilson (The Ventures). I teach out of my home studio in Maple Valley. My students have won all kinds of awards, including scholarships to Berkelee School of Music, multiple outstanding jazz soloist awards, and superior ratings at competitions and have made it into All-State and All-Northwest ensembles. My focus is first on tone and then technique, but I like to get into ear training and improvisation when students are ready and interested.

I've been playing in bands professionally all my adult life and over this time I have played just about all kinds of music. I decided that if I was going to have my own band that it was going to be top notch all the way because the main thing is for us and the clients to have a blast. In this band we focus a lot on the Classic R&B dance music as sung by our world class female vocalist. But our backgrounds are broad enough that we play just about everything. We also play a lot of classic rock in the band and with a little different line-up we also play a lot of jazz gigs. And in addition to that, my background and circle of professional friends makes it so that I can provide first class music to fit just about any situation. I enjoy working with a tight band full of phenomenal players and the reaction of the crowd when they get up and dance or go nuts because they didn't expect it. I like it when clients tell me that we made their wedding or event something really special. Having a great band like this has given us great opportunities. Some of the places we played are: The Space Needle, The Salish Lodge, The Sculpture Park, The Seattle Aquarium, and we are regulars at the 13 Coins and the Edgewater Hotel.
