Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We charge a $75 service fee just to cover our time and gas expenses. If you approve us to do the work, that fee is credited toward your final bill. This is pretty standard in the industry, but we do also sometimes offer quotes remotely if the customer is able to describe the situation, or provide pictures of the issue. There’s a lot of variables, but we do our best to do right by our customers.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We want the first experience with us to go smoothly. It’s really important not just that we earn your business once, but that we keep it for the long term. With that in mind, we place a serious emphasis on building transparency and trust with customers. And as a bonus, we offer a 10% discount for all first time customers (up to $100).

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I’m a licensed Master Plumber (Class II - Unrestricted). I’ve been working in this trade for my entire adult life. And unlike most plumbers, I’m also a business owner. For us, this is not just a ‘side gig’ or a way to make a quick buck. We care about the quality of our work because we care about our reputation in the community. That’s how we’ve been successful for over 30 years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My father started this company over 30 years ago. I have been in or around this business for basically my entire life.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
The name is Serv’all Plumbing for a reason.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We replaced a main sewer line at The Varsity in downtown Atlanta. The project lasted a full week, required a lot of patience and planning, and was very much a “dirty job.” But by the end, we were all very proud of our work and grateful for the opportunity to take on such a project for Atlanta’s most iconic restaurant.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Be careful. We’ve seen a lot of horror stories over the years from customers that have hired unlicensed, unprofessional “plumbers” who caused catastrophic damage to their homes. Don’t let it be you.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Know what your budget is and be up front about it. That helps the contractor know if you’re looking for the best solution or the bare minimum. Ask about licensure. Ask about insurance. Ask about work guarantees. Basically, don’t be afraid to ask questions.
