Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We use a flat rate pricing system. The price is determined by factors such as: the task that is being performed, length of time to complete the job, materials required for the job, warranty coverage, additional labor, permit fees and industry standard rates.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
*An appointment is scheduled by the customer for a plumber to come out. *The plumber then arrives at the scheduled time. He will visually inspect your plumbing system in order to determine the best solution. This will also allow us to provide you with some options. *A detailed proposal(which includes the materials being used, warranty info, work to be performed, length of time to complete the job, pricing, payment terms)will be written up once we know what the customer wants or needs to have done to their plumbing system. Once the proposal is finalized it will be emailed to the customer. *If the customer approves the proposal with their signature then the plumber shall proceed with the work. Once the work is completed the work is tested for any leaks or defects. When all the plumbing task(s) are done we clean up our area so that it looks like we were never there in your home. *Customer is then provided with a final walk through of the work performed and the plumber will answer any question they may have at that time. *An invoice is then given to the customer that has attached photos of the completed work. Finally we collect payment from the customer.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have over 15 years of experience in the plumbing trade. The majority of that time has been spent in service, maintenance and repair. I have provided plumbing services to *countless homeowners *businesses(Walmart, HH Gregg, Property Management companies and many restaurants) *medical facilities all around Atlanta(Grady, Piedmont Hospital, Northside Cancer Care, Great Expressions, Doctor's offices and veterinarian clinics). During that time I have also gained industry knowledge in the classroom attending the Georgia Plumbing Institute and Georgia Water & Wastewater Institute. By gaining the knowledge in the classroom and many years of experience being in the field I now carry a the following licenses: *Georgia state license as an Unrestricted Class ll Master Plumber *Georgia EPA certified Backflow Assembly Tester. I'm currently working towards getting my Georgia state Medical Gas license.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started my plumbing career over 15 years ago when I started working for a large new construction plumbing company.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Homeowners Business owners Property management companies Dental offices Doctor offices Hospitals Big box retail stores Hotels Restaurants Condominiums Hotels High rise buildings Veterinarian clinics

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Completed a CIPP(pipe lining of host pipe) project for Northside Cancer Care in Austell, GA. The building the hospital worked out of had aged cast iron drain pipes that were heavily pitted and corroding from the inside out. The hospital reached out to several plumbing contractor to provide solutions with a quote to fix their drainage system. All the contractors(except mine) provided high price quotes that recommended that the drainage system be repiped in PVC. The problem with that was it involved busting of the concrete on the inside of the building. This option kept the hospital from being able to operate and the patients left with having to receive their treatment at another location. Unlike my competitors I offered the hospital the options to remain open so patients could continue there treatment in Austell and minimize their cost for the repairs. I offered to reline their drainage system using Perma-Liner which is a new technology that is less invasive than traditional methods of repair. In short, I'm happy to say we completed the project on-time, within budget, and without having to inconvenience their patients.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
It would be in your best interest to always make sure you will be getting what you pay for and the following steps can make sure that happens: * Check and verify the license of the individual doing the work inside your home. The reason.....just because a business has all the necessary plumbing licenses doesn't mean that the plumber they send to your door does. State of Georgia requires anyone that repairs, alters, installs or maintains a plumbing system must carry at least a journeyman license to perform plumbing related duties. * It is never a bad thing to get multiple opinions on larger, more complicated and costly plumbing projects cause it will allow you to compare not only the price but also who will be providing the work. * Never be afraid to ask the questions that concern you as a customer about a service you most likely know little about. Any company or individual that is offended or not sure of themselves can be considered a red flag.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Customers should determine what work they are wanting to have done. The following are some things to consider: *budget *time schedule to have work completed *companies they are interested in having complete the project for them. *fixtures or appliances they want I suggest having three companies on large projects provide a quote to them so they can get a good idea of pricing for the job and the company best suited to handle the job.
