I have been tutoring for the past 10 years, and I hold a dual degree in Mathematics and Physics from Columbia University and have now begun a Physics PhD in Theoretical physics. With my experience in tutoring, I have had great success personally (receiving a 36 on my own ACT ) and with my students. I have had a wide variety of students, from those struggling to remain at grade level, to those attempting to surpass their peers. I quite enjoy seeing a student's face light up as they understand a new concept, or finally get the underpinning of some mindless algorithm that they were taught in school, and grasp the core concept .
