Students will then meet 1-on-1 with a tutor to introduce SAT/ACT strategies, teach the fundamentals of the test, and review homework problems. We are constantly learning, training, and preparing our tutors for excellence. Our tutors are dedicated to their students and perfecting their skills. What materials do we provide? Diagnostic Test: Assess your child's strengths and weaknesses, determine specific topic areas to review. Homework: 1-2 hours of homework per week, assignments are real SAT/ACT tests from the last several years. In class, we turn mistakes from homework into learning opportunities. Online Modules: Access to real SAT/ACT tests with answers and explanation videos, tips and tricks specific to each section of the test, supplemental worksheets for students who want extra practice. I am a retired university professor; I have a Ph.D. in measurement and evaluation (the degree for those who make the SAT/ACT/ASVAB etc.) and a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology (so I also help students with memory tricks, time management, and to overcome test anxiety). I make learning fun. I have a number of tricks and tips that help students learn faster while at the same time making them smile. I think of ways that the student will eventually use the information in real life too. This way, their brain will retain what they learn. I love seeing the light bulb go on over someone's head. They have just had an "ah-hah" moment and that gives me a charge.

.I am a retired anesthesiologist who now works exclusively with students to help them achieve their educational goals. I specialize in ACT and SAT test preparation, which I do one-on-one. In 2021, I prepared over 200 students for these tests, and their overall average score was 32 for the ACT and 1480 for the SAT. My students achieved a 7-10 point increase in scores on the ACT and a 240+ increase on the SAT. I meet with all parents and students for an initial interview at no charge and with no obligation - just to allow the students to meet me and be comfortable with our plan before the start of the actual tutoring.
