Hello! My name is Caroline. I am an experienced and highly trained private professional tutor of 13 years, specializing in all sections of the SAT, ACT, and all aspects of College Admissions Prep. I am a Princeton graduate where I was an English major. I scored a 2350 out of 2400 on my SAT: 800 Reading, 800 Writing, 750 Math.
LOGISTICS: I am based in NYC and I use Facetime for remote tutoring. I am very well-versed in remote tutoring as I have tutored exclusively remotely for many years, well before COVID-19. I am flexible as I tutor all 7 days a week. I provide all of the necessary materials.
PAYMENT:
Test Prep sessions are the standard 1.5 hrs and are prorated.
One HIGHLIGHT of my test prep: I pride myself on having a lengthy list of important tricks and strategies that you are highly unlikely to find elsewhere as I have developed most of them myself. In fact, it is not uncommon that my students' scores improve an equivalent of 80-110 points on the SAT/3-4 points on the ACT after just ONE session.
ADMISSION RESULTS: with my test prep and college admission prep, I am thrilled to have helped over 500 students over the years who have gained admission to top schools like Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Northwestern, UMichigan, Dartmouth, Amherst, Carnegie Mellon, Cornell, UPenn, and Tufts among likely every college (across ALL tiers) that you have heard of (please see more in my photos below).
I stand by my work 100% and look forward to impressing my clients. I hope to help and discuss further!

My math students have ranged from 3rd Grade to Juniors in high school and up to college algebra. In all cases, their grades are now higher after I began to help them. Then there are adults with requests for assistance in a variety of subjects.
I bring to my students my engineering background that differs from what many students get from their teachers. Basically, whenever possible, I show them more than one way to work problem. Reason? Because all students think differently so my goal is to give them an opportunity to choose one way that helps them solve it.
I tell my students, if your way works for you, then continue to use it. However, if your method doesn't give you the grade you want, you should try something different.
I love teaching. I started teaching electronics in a business school while I was working on my engineering degree. I continued throughout my engineering career - before I became a high school math teacher. Now I am a tutor.
My biggest thrill comes when my students happily come to me with their latest grade on their math test. I ask them, how does this grade compare to what they usually get. When they reply it's the highest they have ever gotten, I think, gee, I really helped them.
Needless to say, their parents are thrilled.
