Introduction

Hello, my name is Mark Schillinger, owner-operator of Mark's Masonry & More. I am a licensed general contractor (CCB#249237) in Oregon who specializes on masonry (chimney, pavers, concrete, block, veneers, fireplaces, etc.), roofing, fencing, and decking projects. I have worked for several years in the chimney restoration and repair industry here in Oregon where I have learned a variety of skills that I would like to use to help you make your home exactly what you want it to be!! I have my BSE in Mechanical Engineering but after working in an office for several years, I found that I got more life satisfaction out of the office, working with my hands to create or fix a product. I have many years of experience managing projects and working with customers to create a final product that will exactly suit your needs. Estimates are free and I work all year-round! Please give me a call to see if I can't help you on your next home project!!

Free estimates! Customers who recommend Mark's Masonry & More will receive referral rewards!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
First I like to make sure that I totally understand the customer's vision for the project. I do this by offering free estimates to give us time to discuss all the different aspects and potential complications. Then it's just making sure that we are comfortable with each other. It's important for the customer to know that their happiness with my work is why I do this job. I would never want to create a product that I wouldn't want in my own house.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have my BSE in Mechanical Engineering which I used for 6 years in the form of managing large capital projects for a variety of manufacturing facilities. This experience has given me the ability to plan any project down to the finest detail to make sure the customer is satisfied with the final product. After realizing that I got more life satisfaction working out of an office, I opted for a career change. I worked as a Hod Carrier (apprentice mason and laborer) for a masonry company for several years where I learned all the constructions skills and the ability to work with my hands.
