Matthew Simonis is a freelance director, cinematographer, and editor with over 10 years of experience in professional video and film production. His career began at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Peck School of the Arts, a top 25 film school. After graduating in 2015 his senior thesis film Frame of Mine went on to screen at over a dozen film festivals across the country. Throughout his career, Matthew has worked with a variety of cameras and technologies, adapting his technical expertise to suit diverse production needs. His experience spans a wide range of production types, including commercial, corporate, event, local TV, live TV directing, short films, and music videos. Whether in a freelance capacity or as the Director of Video at Michigan Creative, he has successfully directed and managed small production crews, ensuring high-quality storytelling and seamless execution. He is deeply passionate about the relationship between visual imagery and storytelling, believing that no detail is too small when crafting visuals that enhance the narrative. Hello, I’m Al From 8K Media Photography. I’ve been doing weddings for the past 15 years and just started 8K Photography in May 2023. I see my job as the wedding photographer - the documentarian of the day. My eye is always moving around looking for the photo-worthy moments like fleeting glances, laughter and of course, romance. I try and collaborate with you to have the photos tell your story. I get to know you, help you feel comfortable, help you plan the flow of the day to maximize your photos, and give you my full and complete attention.

I do Photography and Videography and I focus quality on all projects. I don’t focus on one particular event or client base. I’ve worked to build my skill with business, sports, cinematic media, cars, events, YouTube and can provide for any need you want met! My style for the most part is more of a cinematic one. With the help from my sony cinema cameras and my unique editing style this is achieved. I also shoot drone video, this can add some excitement and quality to your videos.
