There he worked with and assigned freelance producers & editors on testimonial and marketing projects, reviewed budgets, and scheduled the company's four Avid non-linear edit systems as well as its online editing suite. In addition to business video, Producer/director James has worked in entertainment and documentary production. His first indie feature film as producer/co-writer, "The Dreaded", was completed prior to his college graduation in 1990. Later, James wrote and produced the independent television pilot "West Texas Khaki", and served as the art director/location manager on the award winning indie feature film "Love Land". In 2019, his feature length documentary "Field of Valor: Air Activities of Texas" was released and he is currently producing his second historical documentary. Expanding his knowledge in the industry, James gained valuable experience on two major studio films, Paramount Pictures “Necessary Roughness” and Warner Bros. “Any Given Sunday” as a production assistant.
