Hello- My name is Michael Dashefsky I have worked as a performing arts professional for over 8+ years. My Training: I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre Performance from California State University Fullerton. My Professional Experience: I have performed as a vocalist and piano player for : Disney, Universal, Holland America Cruise Line and Princess Cruise Lines. I also sang on a Broadway Style Christmas National Tour and also performed in several regional theatre productions in Southern California. I have also worked in Chicago as an assistant music supervisor for the Beatles and Shakespeare production of As You Like it where I played piano, sang, music directed and played a character in the show. Hi, I'm Melinda, and I offer in-person lessons in San Francisco and online lessons to singers around the world of all levels. I have over 15 years of experience as a professional singer and voice teacher. I'm classically trained, and I can sing everything from opera, to R&B, to musical theater and pop! I have my Masters Degree in Vocal Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. I specialize in a time-tested technique that I pass on to my students to ensure healthy singing for everyone. I speak Spanish and French, and sing in over 10 languages. With my encouraging and student-centered approach, I teach all styles. I can personalize our lesson time together by adding other components, such as audition preparation, sight-singing, music history, and performance readiness. My students have been admitted to prestigious college vocal programs and have also been cast in leading roles on stages across the nation. Besides teaching my voice studio, I'm also a music professor and professional singer! I really enjoy teaching people to sing and I like to make the process fun for my students! I am an opera tenor and actor with international performing experience including the World Tour of Phantom of The Opera and 300 stage roles, offering voice lessons for all musical styles, especially for classical and musical theater.
