Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our pricing is transparent and flexible—every service includes a free discovery call so we can help you choose what makes the most sense for your needs and budget. Whether you need a one-time session or full support, we’ll walk through options with no pressure. Hourly rates start at $75, and packages are priced based on time.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We always start with a complimentary discovery call to get to know you and your goals. From there, we’ll create a clear, custom plan—whether that’s a closet refresh, a personal shopping session, or style coaching over time. We guide the process, but you’re always in the driver’s seat.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Our founder holds a double major in Fashion Merchandising and Public Relations, a Master’s in Strategic Communication, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Strategy. That blend of fashion, messaging, and strategy is the foundation of everything we do. We bring together practical styling knowledge, deep understanding of personal branding, and real-world experience working with women through life shifts of all kinds. Our approach combines body-aware fit, intentional color use, and smart wardrobe planning. We also collaborate with experts—like professional organizers and stylists—to give our clients a holistic, high-touch experience from closet to outfit.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Getting dressed has always been my favorite part of the day. As a little girl, I wasn’t dreaming about my dream job—I was dreaming about the outfits I’d wear to it. But as I got older, I realized most people don’t feel that way. Getting dressed felt stressful, overwhelming, or discouraging for so many people around me—even friends in college, older peers, and coworkers. In 2017, I started helping friends who felt stuck with their wardrobes—styling what they had, building outfits for events, and helping them see themselves in a new way. I styled pieces for boutiques, created display concepts in the fashion department, and worked post-grad as a social media manager at a well-known boutique where I styled and gave everyday wardrobe advice. Over time, I saw the same story repeat itself: people didn’t need more clothes—they needed more support. A Lil Bit of Biz was born to do exactly that. We’re here to help you feel confident, seen, and like yourself again—starting with your closet.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We’ve worked with everyone from new moms figuring out how to dress their changing bodies to professionals overhauling their work wardrobe, creatives prepping for photo shoots, and women in transition who are rediscovering their style. We also help families with closet organization, event styling, and seasonal support.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One of our recent favorites was working virtually with a client in New Jersey who hadn’t felt like herself in a long time. She came to us feeling disconnected from her wardrobe and unsure what worked for her anymore. Over the course of a few sessions, we helped her identify her best colors, introduced new silhouettes that made her feel more current and confident, and elevated what she already owned. Instead of tossing everything, we reworked her closet with fresh eyes—pulling together outfits that felt both effortless and exciting.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Look for someone who listens first. Style isn’t one-size-fits-all—and it shouldn’t feel intimidating or salesy. The right provider should make you feel supported, not judged, and should offer clear, thoughtful guidance that fits your lifestyle (not just a Pinterest board).

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Where am I feeling stuck? Do I want help with what I already own—or am I looking to build something new? What do I hope this experience helps me feel more of (clarity, joy, ease, confidence)? Knowing what you're craving—even if you're not sure how to get there—helps us guide you with purpose.
