The Secret Jazz Band creates a unique, upbeat & classy atmosphere for your event by performing an authentic mix of Classic Jazz, Big Band Swing, Bossa Nova, & Classic Soul. The band is a perfect fit to complement popular event themes such as Great Gatsby, Old Hollywood & the Speakeasy Clubs of the Jazz Age. My experience includes performing both as a soloist and in choirs at church/school in my formative years, gradually progressing to performing at weddings, anniversaries, dinner parties, graduations, banquets, worship services, in small groups, and in choral settings, both nationally and internationally. Due to the aforementioned wide range of settings, I am comfortable with musical genres including opera, jazz, R&B, pop, Christian, contemporary, folk, and many more. I work extremely hard in preparation for every upcoming event to ensure the highest quality execution of music, so you can rest assured I will give my everything to put on a great show! Hi! I graduated from the New School for jazz and Contemporary Music in NYC with a Bachelors in Jazz Performance, and currently am a band leader, recording, touring, teaching, and freelancing drummer in Los Angeles. I’ve been teaching privately for the past 6 years, and have worked with kids as young as 4 all the way up to adults 45 and older. I myself have been playing for 22 years, and play all styles of music. I also have been playing classical percussion for 15 years and have experience playing with multiple different orchestras and chamber ensembles, as well as tv and film recording work. I work with all levels of skill and experience, and would love to offer my knowledge and experience on your musical journey!
