Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Pricing for general pest control services are based on the square footage of the home. New customers will receive an initial service (which is slightly higher in price, due to the time it takes), followed by another service 30 days later. Thereafter, customers are serviced on a quarterly basis, and reservices between quarterly visits are complimentary.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Step 1: We price the service based on the square footage of the home Step 2: You'll sign an agreement and provide a method of payment Step 3: We agree on a service date and complete the initial service Step 4: We'll complete the follow-up service visit about 30 days later Step 5: Thereafter, we'll service your home every 3 months or so, providing complimentary re-treatment services in between, as necessary

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Remedy Pest Control is licensed in North and South Carolina for general pest control and termites. (NC - 2483PW, SC - CA034019), and in North Carolina for Wildlife Control (20-WCA00164). All of our technical and office staff have received extensive training from pest organizations, manufacturers, and state regulatory bodies (in fact, each and every staff member is a North Carolina registered technician), ensuring the safe quoting, handling, and application of pesticides according to municipal and state requirements and material safety data sheets.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
As consumers of pest control services ourselves, we came to realize that providers weren't paying enough attention to the pesticides that they were using or focusing on 21st century best practices to solve pest problems. Remedy leverages technology, business processes, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and integrated pest management philosophies to solve pest problems, and this approach has really resonated with our customer base.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We work with both residential and commercial clients. We currently service single family homes, condominiums, multi-family apartments, office buildings, restaurants, medical facilities, retail buildings, and industrial/warehouse facilities. We primarily service south Charlotte and Fort Mill, SC.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
1) Check for licenses. It's illegal to apply pesticides in NC or SC without a license. 2) Shop local. The bigger the company, the less likely they are to be personally connected to the community or personally invested in solving your problem. 3) Ask for a game plan. If you have a specific issue, your pest control provider should be able to tell you, generally, what they'll do to solve your problem, over the phone. 4) Take pictures. If you can, snap a picture of the pest (or evidence of the pest) you're having problems with. This will increase the odds that your pest control provider will solve the problem the first time.
