Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Attorney Fees do NOT include filing fee or cost of taking courses required by the Court. Offer Military and First Responder discounts. The fees for my notary service are based on a per job basis. I give discount for coming to me, I also charge 50 cents per mile to come to you.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I listen to my clients and take the time to explain the process thoroughly. I offer my clients a step by step plan just for them, I tailor every plan to the clients specific needs and budget.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am a licensed attorney who has been practicing for 30 years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have always believed everyone deserves fair and honest access to legal services. That is why I personally meet with each client and always provide the best representation possible, even if that means referring the client to another attorney that fits their needs. If I cannot help them I do not bill them.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I work with individuals with a number of different challenges. I provide legal services and advice in bankruptcy, family law, personal injury, and traffic law. I do not represent insurance companies or lending institutions.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Depending on the project, the process can take anywhere from one month to as many as six months. An average divorce for instance will take thirty to seventy five days. Where as a simple notarization will take a few minutes. Each job is different. My clients only pay for the time I spent on their specific challenges.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Be sure to explain your case fully and make sure you and your attorney go step by step through the process. Also make sure you get any and all questions answered and are comfortable with the fee and timetable before you hire an attorney. Do your homework, make sure you find an attorney that will give your case the attention it deserves.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Most of the cases I handle are time sensitive. You should let your attorney know up front what the timetable is. Make sure you find out if the attorney is able to meet that timetable. Also, different jurisdictions require an attorney to be admitted to that district or court. And finally make sure you ask detailed questions and are comfortable with the schedule and amount of fees being charged.
