Introduction

I genuinely enjoy helping people and making a difference in their lives. Those with unmanageable debt are most often also burdened with the anxiety and dread of carrying that debt around with them everyday. Imagine the relief of getting that resolved and starting fresh. Seeing my clients’ relief of getting their debt discharged and being able to keep their homes and/or cars is incredibly rewarding. It is why I love what I do.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
There are different fees for different kinds of cases. For example, a personal injury case involves a contingent fee, which means we only get paid if we get you money. Other cases (e.g. bankruptcy) may be a flat fee or a retainer fee depending on the nature of the case. But we are always willing to work with our clients and make it as easy and affordable for them as possible.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Usually, it starts with a phone call. In order to get a preliminary assessment of their case, I get as much relevant information as possible. From there, we pick a date and time for a free consultation (remote or in person). I like to make the process as easy as possible, so I provide my clients with intake forms they can complete online in the comfort of their own home. So I am available to answer any questions that may arise at anytime. The lawyer-client relationship is based on mutual respect, understanding and trust. So I also like to get to know my clients; who they are as people, what they like to do, their work, family, background, etc. My job is satisfying because I know the people I am helping and I see the difference I can make in their lives.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have lived in Philadelphia all my life, so I know the area and its people well. I attended Penn State (main campus) and received a degree in Psychology. I then went to Widener University School of Law where I graduated cum laude in 2013. While there I was an editor of the Journal of Law, Economics and Race as well as a member of the Moot Court honor society. Since then I have been practicing law in Philadelphia and have helped over a thousand individuals and families with their legal matters.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with clients of all backgrounds, races, sexual orientations, cultures, socio-economic status, etc. All that matters is that you are honest and respectful.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Look at their reviews on Thumbtack, Google and Avvo. You can also check the attorney directory to see if there have been any disciplinary actions against that attorney.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Ask your attorney how you and he/she will communicate with you (letter, email, text, etc.). And at the same time make sure you are comfortable using those methods of communication.
