What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We offer flat rates for bankruptcy, debt negotiations criminal and traffic ticket defense. For family law, we implement an hourly rate and set a retainer based on our client's financial abilities. We always work with our clients, offer payment plans and sliding scale fees on certain cases.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We work around our client's needs. Some folks prefer to do as much as possible by email and phone, and some prefer to discuss their cases in person. No matter what your individual preferences, we have the bandwidth and flexibility to make you our priority. Consultation time is always free, fast, privileged and confidential. We are committed to ongoing training in the law. We are regular attendees of attorney trainings, conferences and are always networking with our colleagues in the field.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Two attorneys, Ashley Lauber and Delaina Dancey started Lauber Dancey with a vision: two whip smart women attorneys who would take the time to listen to clients with compassion and understanding, expertly guiding them through complicated legal labyrinths. We have helped hundreds of clients and appreciate all the unexpected circumstances that folks face in their lives. With over 25 combined years of legal experience, we are committed to helping you overcome your difficulties and get you on solid ground.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We have worked with all types of customers, from legal aid referred clients to wealthy individuals looking to solve large tax obligations. No matter what you're facing, we can likely help. If we don't have a solution, we can always refer you to a trust colleague that can.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We were recently able to eliminate a significant amount of back taxes for a client who was then able to retire debt-free. Many such instances of relief occur in our offices daily.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Unfortunately, there is a wide open market for third party organizations providing quasi-legal services that should always be preformed by an actual lawyer. We cannot stress enough, do NOT use companies in the marketplace that are offering debt consolidations, or paralegals that might be offering family law services. There is NO SUBSTITUTE for the counsel of an attorney. Whether it's a divorce or a bankruptcy, the odds are you're only going to do this one time. Do it right the first time.
