Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My standard pricing system starts with a 4 hour minimum and 50% down payment to lock in event date and cover service of labor and initial costs, which includes my mixology and hospitality expertise, offering specialized beverages and the highest degree of service and client priority. It then goes up from there as per client needs, requests and facilitation of services.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Contacting the client at their earliest convenience to get an idea of what they have in mind and expect for their party and then working with the details according to their wishes.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have 14 years of experience in the hospitality industry at all positions; service and management.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started bartending a little over 11 years ago at the House of Blues in Anaheim and loved it. I haven't looked back. I keep trying to better and develop myself into being the best at what I do and providing others with the best hospitality and experience that they have ever had, while building sound relationships and clientele.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with many people at their homes having a successful birthday party, wedding reception or just a casual cocktail party. I have worked high profile events such as The Oscars, 626 Night Market and The Riverside Blues & BBQ Festival. I have worked for clients such as Banc of California, Yahoo and Blizzard Entertainment, just to name a few.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently worked a birthday party that requested me to dress up and bartend as an 80's rock star. The woman whose birthday it was had a major thing for Sammy Hagar and Van Halen. This was an awesome group of people that really appreciated my costume, took pictures with me and the birthday girl, and insisted we dance to Van Halen and other 80's hits together. She really loved that I dressed and acted the part, helping to make her birthday extra special. I had an incredible time serving drinks, dancing, and being part of her big day.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Be critical but not too critcal, have an idea of everything you want and need for your party, but allow room for a variance for ease and necessity.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What type of drinking crowd you are expecting (light, moderate, heavy)? This will help whomever is figuring out the shopping list. What type of vibe/feel you want the party to have? What type of person do you want to be responsible for the vibe/feel of your party?
