Born and raised in Hawaii, I focus on quality customer service by bringing the Aloha spirit everywhere I go. I have won many cocktail competitions for specialty cocktails, and can tailor drinks to match with your event. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My pricing includes the process of creating specialty cocktails (if chosen) and shopping for all of the items that is requested for your event. I shop smart and budget properly so you aren’t over spending. If possible I prefer to visit the venue and get a feel of the layout. Bar rental is an additional $60 but coolers and all other tools are included in the package.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I am being hired to work your event so I want to do my part in making this special day go as smooth as possible with the only hiccup could be from the champagne. I want to know all of your expectations and special requests so we can plan properly. I can recommend or create cocktails with you to make things extra special and fun.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My experience comes from years of slinging drinks in a wide range of venues. Restaurants, dive bars, nightclubs, weddings and other special events, and I have even run nightclubs and also tried to do my own promotions.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I was doing construction at the time and I had seen the movie cocktails. I automatically knew that bartending was my calling. I went to bartending academy in Hawaii and with my certificate I went to Don Ho’s restaurant at Aloha Tower to get a job and start slinging drinks. At that moment I realized the piece of paper was worth it’s weight in ink and they offered me a dish washer position. I am never afraid of putting in time and hard work to prove to myself and others that I am a dedicated employee. I worked my way up to finally become a bartender and I love what I do.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I am from Hawaii and I have worked with guests from all over the world. No matter where you are from, we all have one thing in common and that is we all enjoy a delicious cocktail or mocktail. The Aloha spirit is in us all.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I had been requested to work a wedding event in July of 2020 in Newport harbor. The hosts wanted to create a few specialty cocktails for the wedding so I drove to the venue to get a feel for the place before the actual date and we spent a few hours creating the drinks with the hosts and another couple. We had the best time doing this and when it was time for me to go, they invited me to stay for dinner. The wedding was beautiful and we are now friends. Congratulations Dan and Wendy
