Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Price ranges between $50 and $800, depending on your location, duration of service and the number of people in your party. Always willing to negotiate :)

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
1. Hash out the details in service - duration, location, number of people, yes/no tip jar, possible themes or custom menu 2. Payment 3. Service - set up, bartend, clean 4. Review please!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Graduate from the Southern California Bartending School eTIPS Certified

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I wanted to gain a side hustle in a lucrative industry, away from behind the computer. I attended bartending school to see if it was something I would be good at, and I learned quickly that I enjoy it very much!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have bartended for graduation parties, wedding receptions, business meetings, and casual parties. I have also worked for 1 dive bar and 1 nightclub.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
The wedding reception was very enjoyable. There were 100-150 guests and this event was my favorite because they drank like fish for the evening. I worked for about 8 hours and the line never ended. The setting was in their outdoor patio by the pool, there was a DJ and I was set up to the side with a full bar. I used my drink knowledge to make cocktails with the alcohol provided. They enjoyed Margaritas, Micheladas, Tequila shots, Palomas, Modelos and more all night long. I enjoy making the cocktails and not worrying about entering a charge on a POS system. I also enjoy leaving a tip jar out :) Pouring all night is what made my experience the most enjoyable.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
It would enhance the experience if you provide your bartender with your list of the alcohol you provide at your party. This would help your bartender create a mental menu for your guests to choose from in case they do not have a cocktail of choice in mind. Also, it would allow the bartender to provide certain liqueurs that would make a difference in a cocktail. If you have a theme, it would be awesome to know that as well, in case you'd like your bartender to dress accordingly. In my experience, the customer and guests are more impressed with having these details :)

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
How many adults? How long do I need a bartender to pour for? How far should I have them travel? Custom menu? Theme?
