Introduction

I develop and deliver custom cocktails for weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, or any other celebration. I use seasonal, fresh ingredients and make all my own syrups, tinctures, shrubs, etc. I enjoy working with my clients to develop a menu that suits their event. I offer a discounted rate to pour simple cocktails (vodka & soda, gin & tonic, etc.), and beer/wine. You can hire me with confidence. I am professional, efficient, and clean. I have 12 years experience as a bartender and 15 years experience in hospitality and I recently managed one of the top cocktail bars in the South Bay. I'm self-insured, LEAD certified, California Food Handler certified, vaccinated, and I speak Spanish as a second language.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I charge based on the length of the party and number of guests. I offer a lower rate for basic bar service (vodka & soda, gin & tonic, etc.) and for just serving beer and wine. I charge a bit more for my specialty cocktails because they include all handmade syrups, shrubs, citrus, tinctures, and garnishes.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
1. Talk with you over the phone or text to discuss the details of the event. 2. I will send a proposal and quote with all the event details via Thumbtack. 3. If you like the proposal and want to move forward, I will send you a contract via DocuSign. 4. Once the contract is signed, I ask for a 50% deposit. You can pay the balance on the day of the event.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
14+ years in hospitality 10+ years bartending experience Responsible for developing cocktail menus at high-end cocktail bars Extensive experience with handmade syrups, shrubs, infusions, bitters, and batching Bar and restaurant management experience Experience setting up and running the bar at all kinds of private events LEAD certified Deep knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and food

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I felt that the quality of cocktails was lacking in the private event industry. I wanted to branch out from restaurant work, build my own business, and bring those amazing cocktails to your next event.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Clients from all different backgrounds and cultures, corporate clients, small and large weddings at many different types of venues.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I developed a five-cocktail menu for a wedding at Nestldown including his/hers cocktails. I made all my own syrups and did all the prep for the event. I hosted a tasting for the bride and groom and where they selected their cocktails. The wedding and cocktails were beautiful, and the client and guests were very happy.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
It's critical to know what is included with the service package. Details like, who is bringing the cups, citrus, and ice are important. It's also important to know what the bar space is like. That's why I always include a list of what I am going to provide and what you will need to provide in my contract.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
How long have you been a bartender? Do you have a favorite cocktail? What is included with your service? What do I need to provide? Will you give me a shopping list?
