What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

All financial details are primarily based on the hours of service and type of service, understanding the difference between non-alcoholic, beer & wine, and full bar service. It's just as important to understand the party volume to estimate adequate staffing to ensure a pleasant occassion.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I want to find out what are his/her expectations for the event and the dynamics of the occasion (i.e. birthday, anniversary, themed party, corporate gala, sporting social, etc).

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have over a decade of experience between sports venues, restaurants, catering, and working as a private bartender. Trained to handle mixology with a variety of liquors and ingredients.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started as a server and realized that bartenders and cooks can be one in the same. Since I enjoyed cooking, I found bartending to be an extension of my own passion to expand the possibilities, while appeasing guests.

What types of customers have you worked with?

There have been a variety of customers requesting detailed, themed cocktails (Halloween wedding) to sports enthusiasts (international soccer games) to social gathering for any type of occasion.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I was partnered with another bartender to setup and prepare specialty cocktails for an office social. After setting up the bar for the Carribeanan theme and working that night, I found out that there were photos of us on a company website.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The best advice is knowing what personality traits you want from a bartender and a general idea of the type of event. Should he/she be articulate and a bit refined or sociable and an extrovert?

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Do I want this to be a casual event or a free-for-all party? Should the bartender have a "Wow" factor that will get someone's attention? Is there a central theme or concept that is needed?
