With my background as a pharmacist, I bring a professional aspect to this service. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our standard package has a set charge for two hours of service which includes the following: Bartending, set up (1hr early arrival), breakdown and clean up, custom display, menu consultation, fresh squeezed craft sour mix, cocktail bitters, simple syrup, mint garnish, lemon/lime/orange slice garnishes, 64lbs of ice, straws, napkins and access to other potential event necessities (e.g., drink dispensers, coolers, ice buckets, etc.); then there is a set charge for each additional hour. When I respond to potential bookings I send a full break down of each package we offer as well as a guide for stocking a mobile bar and a shopping list template with price estimates.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First I would typically review logistics and your overall vision for the event over the phone. With those details I will bring a few ideas that will help your beverage service stand out. From there I am as hands on or hands off as you need me to be. I can create menus, ingredient/shopping lists, or pick up the materials for you; I can also help source things like glassware rentals. Regardless, I will be punctual, professional and energetic throughout your whole experience.

I have hands on bartending and craft cocktail experience having worked in this setting for 10 years

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Bartending started as a hobby/passion and turned into a career. I trained with world class bartenders and was part of the opening staff at Committee Boston in 2015, known for their exceptional cocktails served in one of the liveliest settings in the city.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked all types of events for customers of all ages from weddings and anniversary parties to college graduations and birthdays. I have also done several corporate work functions and team building happy hours. If your event involves pouring alcohol, making drinks and socializing, chances are I’m the right guy for the job.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Recently, I bartended a Residency Match Day Party for three young MDs from Georgetown. I curated a drink list including three large batch cocktails, one for each of the new doctors, and party guests voted on who had the best drink. The tequila batch won, per usual, but all three were thrilled with their cocktails. I also created a large champagne glass display for the midnight toast. I got to dress to impress for this event which was an added plus! 50 guests over 4 hrs and a great time as always.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The devil is in the details. Find someone who is friendly, pays attention to details and has experience serving guests at a fast pace

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Think about your crowd and the type of beverages they prefer. Is this a vodka/soda crowd or hand crafted old fashioned w/ large clear whiskey rocks group? Overall, how many drinks do you want to supply? This will help determine how much alcohol to purchase and eliminate waste. Also think about the facilities and logistically what is available; we may not want to put egg white cocktails on the menu if we don’t have running water available to the bar. Of course, I will review all these details with you and help strategize each step of the way.
