Introduction

You want to know me! I'm an up-beat, positive person with boundless energy. I'm 100% committed to making sure your event is one your guests will be talking about for months to come... Bartending is my passion and I'm so fortunate to be able to make a living helping people to have a great time! Even though I'm on my job, it's wonderful to be surrounded by people relaxing and letting their hair down, enjoying the company of their friends, co-workers, and associates. And I really love the feeling I get at the end of the evening when the host is delighted and thanking me for freeing them up to be a guest at their own party!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
The bar is a great source of fun and entertainment at any party, and with great personalities and super fun bartenders I’ll make sure the bar at your reception is one your guests will never forget! We'll generally arrive with coolers, cups, cocktail napkins, 200 lbs of ice, bar tools, 4 cases of bottled water, a solid plan (and a backup plan!) and all the other little things nobody thinks about to make sure your bar runs beautifully for your big day. I'm a licensed bartender and I'm fully insured with a $1,000,000 alcohol liability policy (your venue may require that). If your bartender is not insured, the liability may fall back to you. I'll also assist you to make sure you get the right amount of beer, wine & liquor to last for your entire event. We're more than just a folding table and a bow tie!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I like to chat with each client a bit to find out exactly what they'd like to have. A lot of times, they're not even sure what that is when we first start, and that's perfectly fine. That's what we're here for! We do a ton of events and can usually fill you in on how these things work. It's your event and we want it to be exactly what you had in mind (or even better!). I'll walk you through all the steps and take anything I can off of your plate to free you up to handle all the other things you're working on. We can work on a drink menu together and I'll put together a shopping list of exactly what you'll need to get to have enough alcohol to get you through your entire event. I'm always an email, phone call or text away to help you out with anything you need.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have a Cicerone Certification, which just means I've studied and learned a LOT about beer and all the different types and styles, so I can certainly assist you in picking out the right beers for your event. I've also managed a bar in Asheville for many years, so bartending, hospitality and customer service is actually coursing through my veins (you can see it if you look closely enough...). Organizing, preparing and making sure everything runs smoothly is just what I do. Let me take away all of your worries about the bar for your event!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
After years of supplying my particular brand of customer service in the traditional venues, I decided to take my service straight to the people in 2013 and I'm never looking back! I love being able to provide people with a wonderful service while not having to squeeze $15 out of them for a martini. While I really enjoyed those many years and owe a lot of my success to those establishments, I get a tremendous amount of satisfaction by being able to run a bar exactly the way my customer wants to have it, without having to follow a set of guidelines set up by someone at a corporate office in a different state who has never even met my host. Together, we can eliminate the middleman and have exactly the type of event that you want to have.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Corporate clients, private parties, and weddings....lots and lots of weddings! We love everyone, so whatever it is you need, I'm certain we can make it work out ;)

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Try not to make your decision based solely on price. When is the last time you bought something really, really good that was really, really cheap? Granted, price is important and there is always a budget to consider, but you want to make sure your event is the best that it can possibly be and is a day you and your guests will always remember fondly. Make sure you get the opportunity to speak with your bartender on the phone and even to meet in person if possible. A lot of people can mix a drink, but you need to make sure you have someone that will treat you and your guests like family and can help create a fun and relaxing environment so everyone can have a great time.
