Introduction

With over 20 years in the service industry and 15 years as a bartender, I know what needs to be done to make your event a success. I've worked in a variety of settings, from nightclub, private parties, corporate events, concerts, weddings and much more. I also speak multiple languages, including Spanish, which sometimes comes in handy, if for nothing else, to make guests feel comfortable and welcome. I'm always happy to arrive early for set up or to stay late for clean up, if desired. My last name is Harne, in case that doesn't show. Feel free to look me up on social media. I would love to work your event, if I have availability.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
If tip jars are allowed, I offer my services for a lower rate. Generally I use a day rate, so that clients allow me to arrive early enough to set up, and I'm happy to stay as needed. My usual day rate is 400, without tips. If tips are allowed, it will be less, but varies with each event. Prices are negotiable. If you want me to purchase liquor, bring glasses, to set up a menu or if I have to acquire an event liquor license (some banquet venues require them, even though no liquor is being sold) that would cost more.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I hold all of my necessary licenses to pour, but not to sell. I'm a member of the local union and the US Bartender Guild.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I've been bartending since 2006, and in the service industry since 94.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with all types of customers, all backgrounds and all settings.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Find out if your venue allows outside bartenders and what their requirements are.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What types of drinks will be served and how many people are in attendance. They should also inquire whether the venue allows an outside bartender.
