Introduction

Greetings! PLEASE READ BELOW (DISCLOSURE): SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE Please be advised that Thumbtack charges us Pros when customers contact us for an event inquiry, even if you DO NOT hire us. Honestly, the fees can be a killer, especially when you are constantly paying for nothing if you are not hired. Sooooo my dear customers๐Ÿ˜Š, I kindly ask, please ONLY inquire if you are interested in retaining my awesome services. I'd love to hear from you! Thank you in advance! INTRODUCTION: I am new to Thumbtack (Feb 2022) and I'm very excited to be here on this platform! My name is Tamika, I am insured with Berkshire Hathaway and a RAMP Certified Bartender of 26 years of experience. I am pretty much always happy, positive and full of life! I get along with almost any and everybody! Depending on the inquiry, I will travel to NJ, MD, DE, PA and NY. I travel with 2 pop-up bars (1 large/1 small), small table, ice bin, bartending tools, plus I provide all garnishes. BONUS: For wedding receptions, I provide a complimentary gallon of my adult punch to add to the open bar as a gift to the bride and groom. BACKGROUND: I worked at a staple bar in South Philadelphia with my two awesome Italian bosses for 22 years in which I managed for 5 years once my boss fell ill. My talents there, led me to branching out to work for other neighboring businesses who also sought out my talents during that 22 yr. span. Bartending is my side adventure, during those beautiful 9-5 hours, I am an Executive Assistant to the Dean at a prestigious university in Philadelphia. I am also currently working at a Legion Post every Thursday for karaoke night. I have been at the post for the past 5 years now. I also partnered as a vendor with Precious Moments Banquet Hall in Berlin, NJ for approximately 1 year and 5 months. I also have the pleasure of being the mobile bartender for "Carae Creations" Catering. This delightful catering business, along with myself, has tag teamed in providing services for the City of Philadelphia at the Horticultural Center in Fairmount Park. I've also been retained as the Bartender for Pearl Properties as 2024 providing service to 6 of their events this year. I've worked various events and feel comfortable enough to now explore the "independent" mobile bartending servicing. I'm a vibrant, professional, fun-filled, hospitable host who knows how to connect with people by providing a welcoming atmosphere. I pride myself in wanting people to have a great experience when they come over to get a beverage from me with a smile! I'm always prepared with positive energy, good hospitality, and a ready to get the job done attitude! I look forward to hearing from you! CHEERS! Tamika The Mobile Bartender

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Customers interested in me providing services for them, should know that I am very reasonable and easy to work with! My motto....."TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK"! I'm not trying to get rich on overcharging people, instead I'm trying to make connections and provide a great service experience so my customers will think of me again their next event which I do offer a discounted rate if booked again. I am a professional, I love what I do. I bring fun, positive energy, happiness and great service to the table when I work.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
My typical process would be me introducing myself, advising the customer to read my profile to get a better feel for me and the energy I am projecting. I also like to speak to the customer regarding the event to discuss any special requests, ideas, suggestions or even concerns. Lastly, I advised the customer that I do require a deposit to lock their event date and time in. I leave it up to the customer, whether they want to make payments or pay in full when I arrive before the event starts. I like to give my customers a little wiggle room because I know they have a lot are their plate in the course of their planning. I want to make my part of the process as easy and smooth as possible!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am RAMP Certified by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I began bartending November 17, 1998. I just moved back from Mississippi working for an insurance company in center city. Every now and then I'd stop by to visit my mother on my way home who was bartending at this place called "Sit on It Bar" in South Philadelphia. One day my mom's boss walked up to me and said, "Hey kid, you interested in doing this"? I was a single mom with 3 kids sooooo I said sure!!! I was his "Startender" for 22 great years; up until they shut down due to the effects of the pandemic.

What types of customers have you worked with?

As for iconic highlights in my career, I pride myself in being hired to work for the City of Philadelphia for an event, an all white party in park at Stinger Square in South Philadelphia with over 300 attendees (worked solo), a private event for a close relative of rapper Meek Mills (popular hip hop artist), a Women's Empowerment event that was positive and uplifting, a big public event for "We Talk Weekly" podcast show who hosted their "Women's Month Celebration 2022" fundraiser which was very inspiring. Also, I can't forget my super fantastic clientele of great customers who are just looking to have a great time and serve some awesome drinks; definitely can't forget about them they are SOOOOO much appreciated!!!!
