Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Each proposal will be reasonably tailored to the specific needs of your event! Our prices take into consideration the number of guests, location and complexity of the cocktail choices. A printed bar menu is included.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I establish direct communication with all potential client immediately and continue throughout the process. Together we first ensure that all venue licenses and requirements are in place. Next, we discuss the customer's goals for the event. Then, we identify and develop the types of beverages and cocktails that support those goals.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am a graduate of the Professional Bartending School in Arlington, VA. I am also certified in Techniques of Alcohol Management (TAM).

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I first bartended as a fill in for a friend who owned a jazz club many years ago while I was a flight attendant. I made it official 10 years ago by attending bartending school. It is very rewarding for me to see people having fun and enjoying the drinks I make. I meet so many interesting people. And I especially enjoyed allowing my personality to shine and creating a fun and personal experience for each guest.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have bartended for a diverse group of individuals and businesses, including events such as Quinceañeras, wedding receptions, engagement parties, birthday parties, anniversaries, outdoor festivals, and class reunions

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I am most proud of having the opportunity to bartend a wedding reception where the bride and groom asked that I take care of all bartending needs. This included identifying alcohol and beverage needs and appropriate mixes, calculating beverage quantities needed, purchasing the liquor, beverages and appropriate garnishments! The event was a great success.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Any bartender you contact should be able to guide you through the planning and execution of your vision and goals for your event. She should suggest ideas to elevate the bartending experience. She should assist you with accurately calculating your beverage costs to avoid waste.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
If your event is in a public venue, the most important thing for a customer to do before hiring a professional bartender is contact your local alcohol compliance agency to determine and meet any requirements. Next, you should determine your budget. You should then determine an accurate number of expected guests and their drink preferences. The bartender's job is to help you with the next steps to execute your goals and vision!
