Introduction

✅️Thumbtack Top Pro, 7 years ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ✅️ Insured. ✅️ Professional trained in fine art installer for over two decades. ✅️ NO drive time charge. ✅️ NO Thumbtack fee added to your bill. ✅️ NO charge for hardware. 👍 Only the hourly rate, no additions. One hour minimum and prorated after that. Originally from Dublin, Ireland ☘️, I've worked in the Los Angeles fine art industry since 2003. Brushing shoulders with the world's top art handlers and installing with elite international art logistics companies on the most amazing projects has been an amazing experience over the decades. Throughout the years, I've had the pleasure of working with Los Angeles' top museums, The Getty Villa, The Getty Center, LACMA, The Broad, The Hammer, MOCA, The Academy Museum, and The Peterson. Additionally, I've completed numerous installations at galleries and private collections across the country. My work has also taken me to various art fairs across the United States and even abroad in Europe, adding an element of enjoyment to my years of experience. Fine art installation also gives me an advantage with the secure mounting of mirrors, TVs, interior decorations, and any size wall hangings. Heavy items on drywall, stone, and concrete walls need the right anchor hardware to stay secure during an earthquake. I carry all the needed hardware for every occasion. I take great pride in a good install, done safely and securely, with happy clients. I don't cut corners but work fast, so you get great quality and value for money. I use only quality hardware, and installations are always precise. I'm looking forward to working with you. Tom O'Keeffe **************************************

My pricing is based on an hourly rate, however, I'm known for my speed and accuracy in completing projects. 🕐 A minimum of one hour is required, after which time is calculated to the nearest minute. This flexible pricing approach accommodates small projects and ensures that you are not overcharged. With twenty years of experience in the industry, I have worked with clients who have strict deadlines and budgets. My focus on quality and efficiency has been my driving force since the beginning and continues to benefit my clients. I provide all necessary hardware for your project, ensuring that it is of professional quality. My first twelve years included a lot of galley and art fair work. Clients in this environment have deadlines and budgets. Getting it done right and fast was a must. Having that start has always benefited clients since. All hardware is included and of a professional quality.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Hardware Expertise: Ensure that the art installer you choose has ample experience with the appropriate hardware for your artwork. Hanging hardware and hooks have weight restrictions that differ for various wall materials. In Southern California, where earthquakes are frequent, it's critical that your installer employs two hooks when feasible. Avoid hiring a "one-nail-in-the-wall" handyman and go for a pro. A Keen Eye: If you want assistance with artwork placement, inquire upfront whether the installer has enough experience to provide opinions. Even if you don't always agree with their suggestions, having a second opinion will help move the project along. Remember, it's not just about hanging the art; it's about achieving the perfect placement. Patience: A good installer should be willing to listen to your ideas and engage in the design process. Try out different placement ideas, and see if the installer is willing to work with you. Remember, you are paying for their services, and they should be invested in the outcome as much as you are.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Before reaching out to an art installer, TV mounter, or furniture assembler, it is important for customers to consider a few key questions. Firstly, they should think about whether their wall hangings require specialized hardware that can support their weight and protect against potential issues such as earthquakes, childproofing, theft, and different wall materials. It is important to choose an installer with experience in these areas to ensure the job is done correctly. Secondly, customers should consider the placement of their artwork or wall hangings to save time and money. If they have already made decisions regarding placement, they should communicate these to the installer. However, if they need assistance with decision-making, they should seek an installer who is willing to provide guidance. It is important to find someone who can not only handle the installation but can also contribute to the design process. As the saying goes, "a person with a hammer that can't help with the design is just a nail-gun with legs."
