Pricing is based on product selects (including options), and the window sizes.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

When a new customer contacts us, we start by learning more about their project, then we schedule an in home appointment for one of our Design Techs to meet with them, go over product options, and help them come up with a great solution. We then provide a quote right at that time, and process the order. Once their new window treatments arrive, we return and complete their installation in an efficient professional manner.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We have been installing custom window coverings for over 15 years and have completed thousands of successful projects. Let us put our experience to work for you!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Our founder was trained by his family as a teenager, and took what he learned and grew it into what is now Solar Shield!

What types of customers have you worked with?

Residential home owners (anyone with windows), office managers, land lords, commercial facility providers, churches, schools, restaurants, hotels, nursing homes.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We recently completed a very large interior plantation shutter project that required a lot of planning and precise measuring. There were 28 windows, and 8 of them were 2nd story angle topped windows that required motorized operation. With our professional planning experience, access to the best products, and our professional installation team, we were able to complete the project in our stated time-frame to the customer, and they were incredibly pleased with the finished result. Enough so that they left us a 5 Star review on both Facebook and Google!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you are working with someone who understands the instalaltion process when you are selecting your window covering. Steer clear from companies that use 'sales' associates in the beginning, and then send in an installer after the sale is complete. This can result in lots of issues, and it's one of the areas that we stand apart from any of the area window covering companies. We send in Design Techs, who are fully trained installers, and who have vast product knowledge. We can help plan for the perfect window treatment, and we will make sure that the fit and function will be exactly perfect!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Budget! Window coverings have a wide range of pricing and options. Knowing what you are wiling to spend on your project is really important, because we can help keep you within your budget if we have a good idea of what it is. So, I would recommend sharing at least a rough number with your Design Tech, so that way they can make sure to stay within your budget as they are building the best solution for you windows.
