Detail! Attention to detail is very important and you have to have a keen eye for it. Some fabrics especially silks, and linen need hems finished by hand allowing a delicate hem and not a bumpy gathered hem if done by machine. When upholstering and adding a piping how you finish that piping off is a representation of your skill. It should be difficult to see where that piece begins and ends. Detail is what makes us stand out!
I love the challenge. Its always worth it when you see the end result!
