Introduction

18 years experience with art installation. Including drapes and shelving. In residential and business settings. An apprentice for 10 years at carpentry including things like Decks, Pergolas, Fences and Framing. Some interior remodeling like sheetrock, painting and tile. Our motto is "Art installation is Art" and I believe that applies to all areas of labor.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My pricing is based on years of experience at different locations in the nation. I am on the low end for the level of expertise that is brought to the table. I do charge drive time but am willing to work with any client on pricing. Pricing includes not only experience, but hardware needed.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I give the customer a basic rundown of how I like to install things and why.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I've installed close half a million piece in homes and business, including hospital systems and office buildings in Houston, TX.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I first began working for Expert Art out of Houston around 2005-2007 installing Christmas lights at people's properties.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I've worked with Interior designers, Home Owners, Business Owners and the like.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

A recent project was in a car collector's warehouse here in Tulsa. Shuffling some pieces around on the various collage walls. It took about 3 hrs total.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look for someone who will explain the positives and negatives of different installation hardware. Example: hanging from a wire vs hanging on two d-rings.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Ask about installation methods and placement. How and why, they place something here instead of there. Of course, customer always has final say on placement. Installation methods matter as they pertain to safety and longevity of piece/s (how long a piece will stay level through various conditions.) Consider the amount and types of pieces (size and weight) then relay that to the installer. Ask about hardware types/wall anchors and the benefits/drawbacks of a given type. Consider wall material as that relates to both wall anchor type and time to install.
