What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

It is best that we chat on the phone to discuss the type of product you're looking for, textures, color, and what functions you would like your treatments to give you. We can meet at the showroom. However we prefer to visit your home so we get a clear visual on the style of your home and type of windows you have. This helps us to better serve you. In some cases we can do the pricing right there in your home. We ask for half down. The balance on installation. Our products take anywhere from two to six weeks to manufacture.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We have over 35 years experience!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

This is a highly skilled family business. It started with our father back in the '80s after he retired from the police force. Me and my brother Steve started in the early '90s. This is our livelihood, our passion, our future. We put our heart and soul into every single unit we fabricate for you!

What types of customers have you worked with?

We work with residential and commercial properties.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We really enjoy the transformation of taking a home somebody has lived in for a long time and converting the old blinds to modern plantation shutters and motorized roller shades.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

It's always important to look at online reviews. Ask how long they have been in business. This is a franchise or a local family business. Do they use subcontractors? What happens if one of the units malfunctions in the future.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Would they prefer their window treatment to mount on the inside or outside of the window. Some companies will not do an inside mount on shutters. Many companies from what I hear do not have many options and they usually tend to just show two or three products. We like to go over all the different details with our clients and make sure they have a clear understanding of what options are out there.
