What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Each client is different, although I have some standard pricing for some common tax-related tasks.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I listen carefully to client and take notes, if necessary. We then discuss the most beneficial courses of action and arrive to a decision together. Since most of my business comes through referrals, I make sure each customer is happy with the alternatives.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I hold a Bachelors in Finance, a Masters in Accountancy and have passed all CPA exams.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have been in accounting for 12 years and this is a natural extension of working for other across various industries.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with the public hospital system of New York City, Lowe's, Home Depot, Wal Mart, various other retailers, private equity firms, hedge funds, accounting firms, commercial real estate firms, and residential property management firms. I also have extensive experience in tax, costing, and manufacturing-related accounting matters.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I completed the re-invoicing of management expenses for an investment company. This involved doing some forensic accounting and digging up transaction history for all of 2015. This took two full days.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would make sure the person has experience in the subject matter at hand.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Do I have the necessary paperwork to support the tax position that I would like to take? Are my financial records in order? Would it be more worthwhile for me to outsource my accounting work so I can focus on my core business?
