As a seasoned- tax preparer with many years of experience I take pride in making sure that each and every customer receives the maximum that they are entitled to receive from a tax standpoint. I make sure that the t's are crossed and the i's are dotted. Talking and getting to know the clients a little because doing taxes can be very stressful.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Quoting tax returns depends on the complexity of the return. I would not charge a client that has 1 W-2 that same that I would charge a client that has rental property, owns a home, etc. I am very fair and honest with my prices. I do not want to make a killing so to speak - just an honest living.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I will let the client know of my experience, education, and let know what to expect. I am willing to answer any questions that they may have. I am very honest and people can notice that right away. The customer is very important and I make sure that they are treated as such.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

As an Enrolled Agent (EA) I am required to take a minimum of 24 hours of continuing education each and every year. These hours include important changes in the tax field as well as ethics in which I have to abide by in my filed. In addition I have a Bachelors Degree in Financial Accounting.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have a Bachelors Degree in Financial Accounting and doing tax preparation is related to accounting and since I love numbers it was automatic that I would love doing taxes, in addition, as an Accountant I feel that I have a great personality with customers as opposed to some Accountants who are very dry and no personality whatsoever.

What types of customers have you worked with?

In addition to all kinds of tax preparation from the very easy to the most challenging I also provide tax planning services for the future with clients as well as how to maximize their tax returns. I make sure that all the bases are covered.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I did an amended return for a client that was several years old and his liability went from around $80,000 to less than $1,000 for that year. The client was very, very happy.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Do not always go for the cheapest price because sometimes you get what you pay for. Look at the pro's education, experience and credentials and go from there. Hire me and I will make sure that you are taken care of.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

That I take continuing education every year to stay abreast of the ever changing tax laws.
