Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We generally charge by the job; for instance - our average personal return costs $250 - $400, our average business returns $400 - $750, and monthly bookkeeping services $250 - $350/mo. We do many jobs of each category that are more and less than these ranges - the ranges are simply our typical customer.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We like to have an initial phone call or text chat to determine whether an in-person meeting is necessary. We encourage electronic submission of documentation and provide secure means by which to do so. We ask our clients to contact us when they have questions so we can solve problems quickly and develop a long-term relationship.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Tim Downer started in small business finance 18 years ago working with small public companies. He has in-depth experience with a wide range of unique business models and complex transactions. Tim believes in advocating for the client and to always put the client FIRST. All of us love accounting and love to help our clients overcome financial obstacles that are often overwhelming and frustrating.

unfold fold

unfold fold
We love all accounting.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
If you can't picture yourself being friends with your accountant, it's not the right fit. The relationship is very intimate and critical to your financial well-being; if you feel like your accountant is parenting you, walk out.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
How much is this going to cost? How long will this take? Who will be working on my case? Do you charge if I call or email you with questions? What services do you provide? How long have you been doing accounting? How many employees do you have? Do you like Ozzy or Arnold? (Correct answer is both)
