What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We have a standard pricing system, we consider ourselves a one stop shop for all accounting needs for small businesses therefore we offer monthly fixed pricing that includes bookkeeping, tax planning consultants, tax preparation at year end, payroll completion and filing, financial statement preparation and analysis as well as CPA consultation when requested. We do offer these services separate from the fixed package but on an hourly basis when requested individually.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

My typical process starts with a phone call to introduce myself as well as learn more about the business and services a customer is looking for. I offer free consultations to any new prospective clients so we can ensure that I offer and can help with the needs of the business. After our initial phone call, I will typically discuss with the client the services I believe would be beneficial to them and how I can help them grow! This is followed up by a quote of services and additional phone calls if the customer would like to do so.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Pennsylvania. I have been licensed for over a year and half and have been within the accounting field for 4 years. Within my time I have worked with many small businesses across multiple industries helping with auditing, tax, bookkeeping and accounting needs. To give some examples of my experience I have helped clients in the tax planning and preparation process, prepared financial statements, cleaned up and adjusted bookkeeping, preformed bookkeeping services as well as performed analysis on financial data with respect to multiple scenarios a client has requested guidance on.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I got started in this business right out of school transitioning an internship into a full time job, I found that I have a passion for helping small businesses understand the vast resource that they have with the financial data they create. Reviewing and understanding past financial data allows businesses to create plans for the future that foster growth! This financial data however needs to be analyzed and sorted through; this can become a time consuming task for a small business owner who already has to many thing on their plate. So, I wanted to help these small business owners that do not like the financial side and believe it to be a time consuming task just to file their taxes each year. I created CAS so that we could take over the financial tasks owners do not want to do, but then take it one step further and use this data we are recording and turn it into an amazing resource that an owner can use not just for tax time!

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with many customers across multiple industries. A consistent industry I have worked with would be the non-profit industry I have helped multiple non-profits clean up and sort through their financial data. Other industries I have worked with are pet breeders, ecommerce product businesses, and insurance agencies.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

My advice to a customer would be to look through and talk to the pros you are looking to hire closely, a lot of the times a customer will pick a pro because of the number of years they have been in business or the pricing they offer but end up finding that the pro is not what they expected. A brief conversation on the phone will someone will often be enough to tell you if you would like to work with a pro even if they may be a little more expensive or have a little less experience then the other pro you are considering. If you talk with a pro and feel that they really understand what you are looking for and that they can really provide value to your business you have found the right pro for you!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

A customer should really think through the services they are looking for before talking with a pro. Are they looking for bookkeeping only, bookkeeping and payroll, or all accounting services? Do they care about having financial statements prepared or any analysis completed? What is the timeline they are expecting when to have the work they are looking for completed? Lastly what price are they expecting to pay when looking for a pro. These are all questions I commonly ask in the initial conversation after we have talked about a customer’s business and their needs!
