Introduction

I have been preparing individual income taxes for the last 25 years and am located in Clifton, NJ. My focus is on doing the best job for my customers and getting them their maximum refund. Reasonably priced. I offer discounts on multiple years. I specialize in individual returns. I do not do Estates, Trusts, Partnerships, S-Corps, or C-Corps.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My fees start at $130 for a typical simple federal and state return. I do offer discounts for multiple years.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I have a secure portal which my clients can use to upload their documents. After you upload your info I will do your return and send it to you for review and the paperwork for electronic filing. I require payment before filing the return, preferably by venmo or zelle, but also take credit cards or echecks. Once the return is accepted by the IRS, I would then send you the final copies of your returns for your records.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I was trained originally with H & R Block and worked for them approximately 10 years. I update my training yearly and have recently worked for Intuit helping their tax clients with their returns.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

A close friend of my was a CPA and he always did my returns, but he passed unexpectedly at a young age. I then started doing my own returns, but realized I needed some training so I took H & R Block courses and was hired by them. Eventually I decided to go out on my own and start my own practice.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Most of my clients are individuals. Some with small businesses.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I obtain a lot of clients thru referrals. Ask your friends or associates who they use. And of course you should check their references.
