What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Most of my pricing is a negotiated flat fee based on each clients specific needs. That way they can focus on their business and I can focus on their bookkeeping.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

1. An initial phone call to assess their needs and answer any questions they have; 2. Provide a quote based on what the client wants; 3. Finalize the quote and start work.

I started in bookkeeping/accounting as an assistant. Because I enjoy numbers, deadlines, attention to detail and working with people to help where I can, so bookkeeping was a perfect fit for me.

Recently I did a Quickbooks Desktop to Quickbooks Online Migration which was great. It took about 3 weeks (because it was a bit more complex).

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Don't go soley by the price you see posted to responses. Take the time to "read" what each is offering you and follow up by talking to your top two or three picks so you get someone who is a good fit all-around.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Have I put together a list of what I need to have done? Are my expectations and timelines reasonable? Are my documents together so I can hand over the work today?
