Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our pricing is customized based on your specific business needs, no one-size-fits-all approach. We take time to understand your goals and challenges, then offer a plan that fits. You’ll always know exactly what you’re paying for, and we’re committed to delivering more value than you expect.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We start with a quick call to understand your business, your goals, and your current challenges. If it’s a good fit for both of us, we’ll put together a customized proposal based on your needs. Once you’re happy with the plan, we’ll sign an agreement and get to work. Our goal is to make the onboarding smooth and deliver value right from the start.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a U.S. university and am a licensed Enrolled Agent with the IRS. I bring over 13 years of experience as an Accounting Manager for mid-sized companies, plus 9 years of experience running my own accounting firm. This mix of corporate and small business experience helps me understand the real-world needs of trade contractors and deliver practical, reliable solutions.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
While working as an Accounting Manager at an oil and gas company, I started a part-time accounting firm helping friends and local small businesses with taxes, payroll, and bookkeeping. Over time, I realized how much I enjoyed working directly with business owners. In my corporate role, I managed full financial operations, payroll, A/P, A/R, inventory, and purchasing—so I understand both the numbers and the pressure owners face. That experience shaped how I serve clients today: with practical advice and a deep respect for what they’ve built.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I’ve worked with a range of small to mid-sized business owners across industries like retail, salons, restaurants, and especially construction. Over the years, I’ve developed a deeper focus on Specialty Trade Contractors—framers, electricians, plumbers, HVAC, and others, who work with homebuilders. I understand the unique challenges they face with job costing, cash flow, payroll, and compliance.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I worked with a medical equipment supplier to clean up and streamline their bookkeeping. The project involved reconciling 6 credit cards and 2 business bank accounts, delivering accurate financial reports by the 10th of each month, and closing the books in QuickBooks Online. We communicated almost daily through Microsoft Teams to categorize transactions properly. I integrated Ramp and Divvy expense systems with QBO, improved their collections by automating follow-ups, and restructured their Chart of Accounts for better clarity. I also created SOPs for their internal team and helped support tax preparation with clean financials. In addition, I advised the owner on cash flow management and led monthly meetings to review financial health. This was an ongoing engagement over several months, and we continue to work together.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Look for someone who truly understands your industry not just a general accountant. A provider with hands-on experience serving businesses like yours will already know the common challenges and how to solve them. If you’re serious about growing your business, you need more than basic bookkeeping, you need guidance from someone who speaks your language and has helped others in your shoes succeed.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Ask about their experience in your industry, have they helped businesses like yours before? What common problems have they solved? How do they approach trust and accountability? You want to work with someone who is honest, genuine, and values relationships, not just transactions. Look for someone who’s not afraid to tell you the truth and who stands behind their work with real results, not vague promises.
