What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My fees are typically fixed and based on the work required. I do offer discounts for customers who book in advance.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

With new customers, my first step is to set up a meeting to understand customer's needs and concerns. I want to be sure that the customer and I are good match and I am able to meet his/her expectations.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a licensed CPA and have a B.S. degree in accounting from a nationally ranked top business school. I also had over 5 years experience working for a national public accounting firm before staring my own practice.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Friends and family began asking me for accounting help and eventually I start accumulating clients.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I service both individuals and businesses. I have experience with a variety of tax situations too including self-employment income, rental income, expatriates, foreigners, and more.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure they take the time to fully understand your need and address any questions you may have.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

If you have special tax circumstances, make sure you go with someone that has experience in that particular area. The accounting and tax regulations are not always black and white. You want to be sure your accountant makes the best decision for your individual needs and can properly explain it to you. In the event of an audit, you will be the one who has to answer to the IRS.
