When working with a new client, the key for a photographer is to listen attentively. I make it a point to ask numerous questions to better understand my clients' expectations. By fostering close collaboration, I strive to deliver the best possible results that align with their vision and needs.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

With 30 years of experience as an award-winning news photographer, trained in Germany, my work has been featured in publications worldwide. Drawing upon my European heritage and extensive professional background, I bring a distinctive sensibility to every project I undertake, resulting in captivating and unique photographs.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I began my career as a news photographer in Germany, trained under the guidelines of the German Chamber of Industry and Crafts. I had the privilege to work for some of the largest news agencies in Germany. In 2003, I relocated to the United States and started my own photography business.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I like to answer this question with a quote from the photographer Annie Leibovitz: "When I say I want to photograph someone, what it really means is that I'd like to know them. Anyone I know I photograph."

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I am currently working on a 4-year-long portrait series female jewelry designers. The aim is to capture the essence of 100 extraordinary women from around the world, showcasing their talent and passion for jewelry. Together, we plan to publish these captivating photos in a beautiful book.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

My photography mentor emphasized that as a photographer, mistakes cannot be hidden. The true essence lies within the photos themselves. My advice is to closely observe a photographer's work. If their images resonate with you, it's time to engage in conversation with the photographer.

To ensure a successful collaboration with the photographer you intend to hire, provide them with comprehensive project details. Trust in their expertise and rely on their ability to meet your expectations. Offer guidance throughout the process and provide immediate feedback, as it is crucial for me to achieve the desired results.
